Covid 19 Safety Policy

In light of the recent development regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we continue to place you and your family 2019s health at the forefront of our minds. As such, in accordance with official recommendations from NSW Health, Dental Council of NSW, and the Australian Dental Association,  if you have any of the following symptoms

  • High temperature
  • Coughing
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Runny nose

Please tell a member of our staff PRIOR to your appointment by ringing the clinic. As a practice, Australia Dental Burpengary would like to reassure you that your safety is of paramount importance, and in addition to strict adherence to high infection control standards, the clinic has also implemented the following changes to further reduce the spread of COVID-19.

  • The availability of alcohol-based hand rub at reception for use by anyone entering the practice.
  • The removal of toys from the kids waiting area that can be cumbersome to disinfect thoroughly.
  • Relocating the magazines from the waiting area to behind the reception desk, available upon request.
  • Increasing the cleaning and disinfecting frequency of our waiting room.
  • Regular Cleaning of all areas of the clinic

In addition, please be assured that all staff and dentists working out of Australia Dental Burpengary have been thoroughly briefed on the importance of attending work only in the absence of any respiratory symptoms.

As health professionals, Australia Dental Burpengary would like to unequivocally state that these changes have been implemented in the practice largely to help protect the vulnerable people in the community and reduce the burden on the health system. Australia Dental Burpengary would like to encourage the community to continue to practice hand hygiene habits, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and stay at home if you are sick.
