At your initial visit we will ask you to complete a comprehensive general health questionnaire. This is treated with the utmost confidentiality, and is used in planning your dental treatment. It is essential we know your full history and medications, as this can determine how treatment is performed.
The dentist will then take a detailed history of your dental complaint/wishes before conducting an examination. This will not only include examining your teeth but also your gums, facial tissues, jaw joints, and the soft tissues of your mouth. A thorough check is done for any possible signs for oral cancer.
